As you may know, ‘Mr Oakleigh’ writes a regular column in the luxury lifestyle magazine ‘The Norwich Resident’ (http://www.norwichresident.co.uk).
In August 2016 the article was called ‘Fitness’ and here it is:
Fitness
Whenever we feel the need to get fit, it’s very tempting to go for the cheap, quick fix. Why not just do what everyone else does and go for instant gratification with the minimum of pain and sacrifice?
The only thing is that this approach doesn’t really work and it’s certainly not satisfying – but then you already know this.
Whenever we choose any option that takes us on a shortcut, we know in our heart of hearts that we’re doing the wrong thing and that what we really want is to do the job properly – after all that’s the way to achieve results that we can be proud of and that really last.
These behaviours then become part of us and can even turn into something that we can pass on to the next generation.
So a bit like a watch really.
