This Cartier Santos Galbee Automatic is a lovely example with two unusual elements for a Santos. Â Firstly the dial is stunning and secondly, it has an automatic movement instead of the far more usual quartz version.
We recently took this beautiful watch as a part exchange. It has been cleaned up, the movement tested and it’s now ready to go.
The white dial has a beautiful ‘sunburst’ or ‘radial’ effect with the combination of both Arabic and Roman numerals which are in 18ct yellow gold. Â The hands and the bezel are also made from 18ct yellow gold as are the screws on the classic Santos bracelet which looks so good in stainless steel. Â The whole ensemble is set off with the classic Cartier sapphire cabochon on the crown.
Just tested by Rolex & Omega certified watch specialists Michlmayr & Co and this Cartier Santos Galbee Automatic is running beautifully.
