Why We Love It

“It’s a little less understated than the classic one and actually looks smarter, perhaps making this model a bit more multi purpose.”

What You Should Know

This is a superb pre-owned Rolex Submariner 114060 with the wide case design, a ceramic bezel and the ‘GlideLock’ Oyster bracelet. It was bought in 2014 and is a one owner watch.  There is one small mark on the case, on the top left lug and the watch is priced accordingly.  You can see the mark on the photos and video here.

In 2012, Rolex updated its classic Submariner model with the most dramatic change since the introduction of the 5512 / 5513 in the mid 1960’s. There are three major visual differences to the classic one. A new case design, a ceramic bezel and a new ‘GlideLock’ Oyster bracelet.

On this model the aluminum bezel insert has been replaced with a ceramic Rolex compound called Cerachrom, which won’t scratch, fade or corrode. The numbers are etched onto it in platinum.

The 114060 was superseded in 2020 by the 41mm 124060 and that has made 114060s even more desirable.

The watches that we sell are usually pre-owned and therefore pre-worn. The wearing of the watch, even for a short time, is likely to put small marks on the case or bracelet. If any of our watches are pre-worn and unmarked, then it’s highly likely that it has had a light polish at some point. There’s a temptation to think that any polishing is bad, it is not! Check out our blog – “Has this watch been polished?” READ HERE
