Why We Love It

“The combination of black dial and orange hands just pops”

What You Should Know

This Rolex Explorer II 216570 is an immaculate example of the black dialled option – complete with papers, boxes and accessories.

The Rolex Explorer II which was originally referred to as the ‘Steve McQueen’ Rolex, despite the fact he never wore one, has been with us since 1971 and is still going strong now – there have been several versions over the years and this is the current version.

Introduced in 2011 in both black and white dialled versions, the 216570 has a larger 42mm case than its predecessors and the all new bracelet.

This whole package is in 99.9% perfect, very lightly worn condition – There’s a tiny mark on the bezel around 2 o’clock but that’s it – the black dial and hands are of course perfect and the case and bracelet are pretty much unmarked – This is virtually like a new watch so it must have had a very careful owner.

It comes with both original ‘Wave’ boxes, the plastic card papers, card wallet and booklets as you would expect as well as the original green seal.  This watch was discontinued recently so if you’re fed up with waiting for your AD to get you an Explorer II, this could be the answer.

Just tested by Rolex certified watch specialists Michlmayr & Co. this Rolex 216570 Explorer II is running within COSC spec.

We are experts in buying, selling and trading pre-owned luxury watches. Our many 5 star Trust Pilot reviews are testament to our customer satisfaction.

At Oakleigh Watches we endeavour to bring you the best examples of the watches you’re looking for. With very few exemptions this involves ensuring that all key components are original to the watch. On the very rare occasions that any key components have been replaced this will be made clear in the description. All pre-owned watches by Oakleigh Watches are 100% genuine. We do not deal in fakes, replicas or homage watches. For more information, take a look at our blog “Is that the Original?” READ HERE
The watches that we sell are usually pre-owned and therefore pre-worn. The wearing of the watch, even for a short time, is likely to put small marks on the case or bracelet. If any of our watches are pre-worn and unmarked, then it’s highly likely that it has had a light polish at some point. There’s a temptation to think that any polishing is bad, it is not! Check out our blog – “Has this watch been polished?” READ HERE
All our pre-owned luxury watches are tested to ensure that they are water resistant (where applicable) and comply to COSC spec. Passing these tests means they do not require a service at present. If they have recently been serviced, it will be detailed in the description.
Yes, all our pre-owned watches come with an Oakleigh Watches 12-month warranty. If there is an existing warranty remaining from the original watch purpose, it will be stated in the description.
