What You Should Know

The Rolex Milgauss was developed in the late 1950s specifically for the scientists at CERN whose wristwatches wouldn’t work in areas of high magnetism because the movement of most watches stops working when subjected to magnetic fields measuring around 70 Gauss.

This watch was specially designed to work in areas of up to 1,000 Gauss – hence the name ‘Milgauss’.

The current Milgauss range contains two different ‘Glass Vert’ or ‘GV’ models, onew with a black dial and one with blue – this is the blue variant.  The green tint to the edge of the mineral glass interacts perfectly with the orange seconds hand and blue dial and just looks superb – it’s also one of the favourites of a certain current James Bond actor…

The simple design combined with the size of the case of the Milgauss lends it a solid feeling – unfussy and uncluttered with nothing superfluous.

This is a superb, unworn watch bought in November 2021 and complete with everything that came from the factory.

A great set complete with boxes, wallet, YRO booklet, tags and of course papers it’s a stunner and a fantastic watch for those Rolex lovers who want something a bit different – at Oakleigh Watches, we love a Rolex Full Set.

This Rolex Milgauss is supplied with almost five years of Rolex warranty.
