Rolex Milgauss 116400

Why We Love It

“The white dial of the Rolex Milgauss goes really well with the orange seconds hand and it all looks very special”

What You Should Know

This is a great Full Set Rolex Milgauss with a white dial, bought in 2008. It is complete with everything that came from the factory.

The case and bracelet on this watch are very good with a few very small marks that you can just about see on the video – if you can’t see them, that’s an indication of how slight they really are.

The Rolex Milgauss range was recently discontinued completely and this has seen a fall in the number of watches available on the market and a rise in prices.  This is one of only a few white dialled examples available in the UK at the moment.

Unfussy and uncluttered with nothing superfluous, the simple design combined with the size of the case of the Milgauss lends it a solid feeling.

The Rolex Milgauss was developed in the late 1950’s specifically for the scientists at CERN whose wristwatches wouldn’t work in areas of high magnetism. The movement of most watches stops working when subjected to magnetic fields measuring around 70 Gauss.

This watch was specially designed to work in areas of up to 1,000 Gauss. Hence the name ‘Milgauss’.

Just tested by Rolex certified watch specialists Michlmayr & Co this Rolex Milgauss is running within COSC spec.

We are experts in buying, selling and trading pre-owned luxury watches and our many 5-star Trust Pilot reviews are testament to our customer satisfaction.

The watches that we sell are usually pre-owned and therefore pre-worn. The wearing of the watch, even for a short time, is likely to put small marks on the case or bracelet. If any of our watches are pre-worn and unmarked, then it’s highly likely that it has had a light polish at some point. There’s a temptation to think that any polishing is bad, it is not!
