This TAG Autavia is a cracking example of a rare and unusual watch in just about perfect condition.
While the Carrera is usually credited with changing the fortunes of the young Heuer company, it was actually the Autavia that was Jack Heuer’s first creation when he took over the family business in 1962. Taking its name from a combination of its target markets (“AUTomotive- AVIAtion”), the Autavia wristwatch was originally derived from Jack Heuer’s own rally car dash timer and was the first (and the last) Heuer watch to be fitted with the iconic Calibre 11 / Calibre 12 automatic chronograph movement.
This particular TAG Heuer Autavia is a one owner Calibre 11 equipped watch from 2012 with the 1970’s style case and Tachymeter bezel. The 42mm stainless steel case is near perfect to the naked eye, as are the dial, hands and bracelet – the watch genuinely looks like it’s been worn very carefully – it was serviced by a TAG Heuer certified watchmaker in April 2021 and comes with a 12 month warranty.
Included in the Full Set are both original boxes, the manual and guarantee and the original warranty card from 2012 – The bracelet has all the links.
