In March 2016 the article was called ‘Timeless Style’ and here it is:
Timeless style
When I was asked to write an article about “timeless style” I thought the editor was kidding.
Timeless? Me? Unlikely.
You see for me the expression ‘timeless’ meant ‘without a watch’ and that’s not a state that I’ve been in for more than 30 years.
My father gave me a 1960’s Omega like this one when I was 18 years old and that was what really began it all for me.
In my twenties while my friends were spending their money on – I’m not sure what actually – I bought this Cartier Santos (which I want back by the way Mark H) – the first luxury watch that I ever bought for myself, and the die was cast..
This all lead to an uncontrollable Rolex addiction and finally a watch trading company. Oh and this Rolex Double Red Sea Dweller – my favourite watch.
There’s a moral here folks – your first great watch could lead to many more…
Oh – and don’t take this ‘timeless’ thing too seriously please – after all, I have a habit to feed.
