This Girard Perregaux Rattrapante is an absolutely gorgeous split seconds chronograph from one of the most highly respected watchmakers in the world.
Girard-Perregaux is one of Switzerland’s oldest and most prestigious manufacturers, renowned for exceptional in-house movements, innovative watchmaking and more than two centuries of horological heritage. They truly are a 'watchmaker's watchmaker'.
This stunning Rattrapante has a silver stepped guilloche dial with blued hands and a new brown leather strap with the original GP buckle. Everything is in lovely condition with no scratches, dings or gouges and a perfect dial and hands.
Much rarer and more specialised than a standard chronograph, a Rattrapante, or split-seconds chronograph, uses two superimposed seconds hands to time two simultaneous events or multiple intervals independently.
Complete with the cardboard outer and wooden inner boxes, manual and papers, it's a proper Full Set.
Just tested, it is running within COSC spec.
