MeisterSinger is a German watchmaker best known for its unusual single-hand watches, and the Perigraph is one of the more interesting models in the collection.
The idea behind the single hand is simple. Rather than displaying hours and minutes separately, one hand does both jobs. The dial is divided into five-minute intervals, so reading the time takes a little getting used to, but that's part of the appeal.
The Perigraph adds an unusual date display to the design. Instead of a conventional date window, the entire date ring is visible through an opening in the dial, with a small red marker at 12 o'clock indicating the current date. It's a clever feature and one that earned the Perigraph a Red Dot Design Award.
This Meistersinger Perigraph is the AM1003, with a 43mm stainless steel case, ivory dial and blued steel hand. The movement is the Swiss Sellita SW200 automatic movement, visible through the exhibition caseback and it's been fully tested and is running perfectly.
It's all in superb condition with no marks to speak of on the case, just light handling marks only visible under a loupe. The Meistersinger strap is perfect and looks unworn and is fitted with a Meistersinger buckle.
Complete with the original warranty papers and the interesting original box and even the tissue paper that it was all wrapped in from new.
If you fancy a pre-owned Meistersinger Perigraph, you won't find a better one and probably not another at all in the UK.
