Omega Railmaster - one of the most important vintage tool watches ever created.

The original Omega Railmaster occupies a special place in horological history. Introduced in 1957 alongside the Speedmaster and Seamaster 300 as part of Omega's legendary Professional Trilogy, it was engineered for scientists, engineers and railway professionals working in environments where magnetic fields could affect the accuracy of a mechanical watch. Its innovative soft-iron inner case provided resistance to magnetic fields of up to 1,000 gauss - an extraordinary technical achievement for its time.

This exceptional 1959 Omega Railmaster CK2914-3 is a beautifully preserved example of one of Omega's rarest and most collectible references. Powered by the manually wound Omega Calibre 284, it features the highly desirable matte black dial with quarter Arabic numerals and the iconic Broad Arrow hands that have become synonymous with the earliest Railmasters.

The 38mm stainless steel case retains the elegant downturned lugs that define the reference, while the clean, highly legible dial perfectly reflects the functional philosophy behind Omega's golden era of professional tool watches. More than six decades later, the design remains as purposeful and timeless as ever.

Perhaps most importantly, everything on the watch head is original, exactly as collectors hope to find, and it remains in very good condition throughout. Original Broad Arrow Railmasters are increasingly difficult to source, particularly in such honest and well-preserved condition.

Further enhancing its provenance, this Omega Railmaster is accompanied by an official Omega Extract of the Archives, confirming its production in 1959.

Regarded as one of the cornerstones of vintage Omega collecting, the Omega Railmaster CK2914-3 offers an exceptional combination of rarity, historical significance and everyday wearability. For discerning collectors, it represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of the defining tool watches of the twentieth century - an icon whose appeal continues to grow with every passing year.
