The Omega Speedmaster 'Holy Grail' reference 376.0822 is of the most sought-after vintage Speedmasters.

The 376.0822 was nicknamed the 'Holy Grail' by renowned Omega enthusiast Chuck Maddox as a reference to how long it took him to find one - they're pretty rare.

Produced for a remarkably short period between 1987 and 1988, Omega archives have confirmed that only 2,000 examples were made, the Holy Grail blends the familiar styling of the famous Speedmaster Professional with the highly regarded Omega calibre 1045 automatic chronograph movement.

This movement was previously used in the Speedmaster Mark 4.5 so the Holy Grail might look familiar to anyone who knows the boldly experimental Speedmasters of the late 1960s and 1970s.

As well as the normal central chronograph minute hand, the Speedmaster Holy Grail has day and date displays and a 24-hour indicator. Its unusual configuration makes the Holy Grail immediately distinguishable from the traditional manual wound Moonwatch.

Our 1988 watch comes with the original Omega reference 1450 stainless steel bracelet, often affectionately referred to as the 'President' bracelet by collectors.

It also has the correct period Omega presentation box, warranty papers of the appropriate type and an Omega Extract from the Archives.

With its fascinating history, limited production and distinctive movement, the Holy Grail has established itself as one of the most collectible automatic Speedmasters ever produced.
