One of our favourites at Oakleigh Watches is the Rolex Sea Dweller and one of the rarest is the Rolex 116600 Sea Dweller 4000
There’s a temptation to think of the Sea Dweller as perhaps a bit OTT until you realise that it’s really not that big, or that fat, it just has a bit more presence and gravitas than a Submariner.
Originally launched in 2014 and discontinued after only a four year run, the ceramic Rolex Sea Dweller 4000 is a rare watch.
This 2015 example is really excellent with sharp edges and a clean bezel – the original Heavy Oyster bracelet is perfect and solid with no stretch and a tight clasp. The dial and hands are perfect as you would expect.
Just back from a Rolex Service Centre service it is still stickered with RSC protective stickers and has almost two years of RSC warranty.
It comes with original papers, both boxes and booklets, green seal, wallet and integrated diver’s link as well as the RSC warranty card and even the bezel protector.
This is an outstanding example of a very popular and sought after watch – prices have risen steadily since it was discontinued after its very short three year run and this is currently as good as any available in the UK so it’s a great and rare opportunity and a guaranteed investment.
