I have to admit to being quite struck by this Vacheron Constantin 83060 Malte.
We've had a few Vacherons over the years but none of them prepared me for the sheer quality and beauty of this limited edition.
The 18ct White Gold case is finished to an extremely high standard and the matching caseback is engraved with the limited edition details. It's number 50 of 50 watches made in 2009 - the very last one. Everything is in superb original condition and apart from the slightest of wear to the strap, it appears unmarked.
The black guilloche dial features two white gold hands for hours and minutes along with a small seconds and date subdial as well as a power reserve meter for the manual wind movement.
The Maltese Cross is a very important theme that runs through the Vacheron Constantin brand and you can see it on the dial, the crown and the 18ct white gold buckle.
Many watchmakers that I know are of the opinion that a Vacheron Constantin watch is at least the equal if not the superior of brands such as Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe. Looking at this outstanding watch, I can see their point.
Just tested by Rolex & Omega certified watch specialists Michlmayr & Co and this Vacheron Constantin Overseas is running perfectly.
