This new Zeno Regulator watch is one of the most intriguing pieces that I've seen from the Basel manufacturer.
The family-owned Zeno watch company is well known for making excellent watches. They are usually produced in small quantities, all of which are made in Basel, Switzerland.
This is a manual winding regulator watch with hand assembled New Old Stock Perseux 7040 movement that dates back to the late 1960's. It's been completely re-worked to make sure that it's as good as new. It looks great through the display back.
It's the highly unusual regulator dial that makes this watch special. Unlike a 'normal' watch face, with this regulator you read the hours from the sub dial at 12 o'clock, the minutes indication in the center and the seconds on the sub dial at 6 o'clock. The lovely little red hand reads that date from an outside date track.
Zeno only made 160 of these watches, 80 in black and 80 in white - they're spectacular.
Just tested by Rolex & Omega certified watch specialists Michlmayr & Co this new Zeno Regulator watch is running beautifully.
